Abstract

This article offers a thorough analysis of the framework used by the Academy of Persian Language and Literature (APLL) to establish uniform terminology. However, the author intermittently directs readers' focus towards more complex matters, highlights errors within the text, and suggests remedies based on well-established terminological standards. The initial section of the essay provides a comprehensive 75-year chronology of the Persian Academies in Iran. The core content of the essay is presented after this introduction. The following paragraph will present a comprehensive overview of the current activities of the Academy's terminology department. 1) The first part of this component provides a detailed explanation of the organisational structure of products. The second component consists of a wide range of additional tasks, including organising seminars, implementing training plans, and executing strategies connected to outsourcing. The third component consists of various organisations, such as terminology groups, a coordination council, a technical committee, and a terminology council. The fourth component focuses mostly on the procedural aspects of terminological activities and how they are carried out within the aforementioned components. The data for this study were acquired from a publication named "Faerhaeng-e Vaeha-ye Mosvvb-e Frhngestan 1997-2006" (A Collection of Terms: Approved by The Academy), which was published in 2008. Furthermore, the investigation successfully acquired accurate contexts and terminology data. The study's findings suggest that the inconsistent use of terminology in terminological activities may be due to a lack of standardised terminology planning. Furthermore, the investigation revealed a noteworthy discovery of several squandered opportunities.
